We would like to welcome you to the upcoming side-event for our latest show Stringendo by Silvia B. For this very special ocassion we have invited creative collective House of Makers to perform an exclusive dance through the exhibition space. For Stringendo Silvia B. got inspired by the world of dance from which she used the ballerina as a symbol for extreme civilization, always highly disciplined and hiding her pain forever behind a beautiful façade of perfection. At 7pm Clotilde Tran (Het Nationale Ballet, 2011) will present us with an improvised choreography as a reply on the extremely realistic sculptures of vulnerable young dancers on show. Please feel free to join us for this unique performance. Afterwards Silvia B. will give a guided tour through her exhibition Stringendo.

HOUSE OF MAKERS | CLOTILDE TRAN
House of Makers is the collaborative creative effort of Matthew Pawlicki-Sinclair, Peter Leung and Sterre van Rossem. They are a dancer, a choreographer and a writer. As creative directors of House of Makers they develop playful, creative and interdisciplinary concepts. In their combined work they explore the boundaries between various disciplines producing installations, live performances and film both for the regular stage and site-specific locations. They are fascinated by the role of the performer and its relation to the audience. Placing high-art in popular and approachable locations and displacing expectations, they aim to take down boundaries not only between disciplines but also between the art and the audience. They strongly believe that multiple disciplines open up a work in multiple ways. Their work leans on live performance and has an inquisitive and often dreamlike quality.
