Urban space is central to the photographs, slide and video installations by Ine Lamers. The two cities Tolyatti (Russian Federation) and New York form the main motives of the exhibition Latitudes. The images taken in the periphery of the city show the environments in twilight state. The works are connected by a way of looking and by filmic suggestion of life behind the facades, and outside of the photographical frame.
Latitude:
1. angular measurement that gives the location of a place on earth.
2. range of camera exposures that will still produce acceptable image,
